Patrick had been focusing over the winter on preparing for the London Marathon. Watch the video to see how he felt just before he started running.
With almost 26 miles completed and less than half a mile to go and absolutely exhausted, he still managed to smile (see photo above). It was one of the most mentally, physically and emotionally challenging things he’s ever done, but also one of the most rewarding things. Well done Patrick!
With the marathon successfully completed, he realised that he needed to focus on pedal power and braved a training ride on Roberto. After the ride Patrick said “It’s good to be back in the saddle, but it’s been more of a struggle than I expected. I’m confident I’ll be clocking up the miles once the chicken legs have fully recovered”.
