Patrick and Sue are cycling from the northernmost Cancer Research UK centre in England (Newcastle) to the southernmost centre (Southampton) to fundraise and increase awareness of the geographical coverage of CRUK as well as the fact that CRUK research into all different types of cancer (more than 200)
There have been significant improvements in cancer outcomes over the last few decades. In the 1970’s 1 in 4 people survived cancer, now it’s more than 2 in 4, with continued investment in research this could be 3 in 4 patients by 2034. Think of the difference this would make to those diagnosed with cancer and their families.
All funds donated will go directly to CRUK (we pay all our own costs) and 80p in every £1 that CRUK receive from donations, goes to fund vital research.
